What makes Velvet, Green?
Our Story
We had both been in the content industry for years, running our own production companies and working with global clients. Then the pandemic happened and the creative industry collapsed. We lost most of our work and faced the uncertainty of having to start again. We decided to partner up and combine our portfolios, believing it would give us a better chance to rebuild in a post pandemic world.
After a while, we moved into a co working space in London which had a purpose driven ethos. Through this, we were introduced to the sustainability and climate space, meeting great founders and companies who wanted to help change the world, but who lacked the visual tools to tell their stories. The tipping point came when we were offered a project on an oil rig. Having experienced this new sector and the passion people had, we just couldn’t take the project on a moral level.
So we decided to take a risk and start Velvet Green, working with organisations driving change. As we began working with them, it was important to us that we weren’t just profiting from their business, but creating a service that could support their growth, help them achieve their mission, and allow us to create our own impact through video content and video donations.
A few years later, we have a clear mission: to produce top class content for leading companies, organisations and projects shaping the future of business, society and the planet. From climate solutions and new technologies to public initiatives, research, infrastructure projects, growing SMEs and major institutions, our goal is to help leaders bring their stories to the screen.
We’re on a mission to become the go to visual storytelling partner for organisations with a vision to achieve change. To go beyond what a normal production company offers and become a trusted, long term partner to our clients.
